Casey Hilty is a Christian speaker, artist, worship leader, and author of Her Children Arise: Passing a Legacy of Faith to the Next Generation. Using both storytelling and visual art, she is passionate about taking mothers on a journey from apathy to awe to fall in love—or back in love—with God and His Word. Aside from being a stay-at-home mom for 14 years, Casey has also worked as a teacher at her kids’ school and Preschool Coordinator at her home church. Casey Hilty is a Christian speaker, artist, worship leader, and author of Her Children Arise: Passing a Legacy of Faith to the Next Generation. She serves as a content partner for YouVersion (the Bible app), Family Christian Online, and Able Moms. Using both storytelling and visual art, she is passionate about taking mothers on a journey from apathy to awe to fall in love—or back in love—with God and His Word. After being a stay-at-home mom for 14 years, Casey jumped back into the classroom teaching a specials/enrichment class at her kids’ school. There, she had the blessed opportunity to teach Speech Communications (public speaking, performance art, and interpersonal communications) to 900 kindergarten to 5th-grade students. More recently, God called her back into ministry. Casey landed her dream job ministering to families and their little ones as the Preschool Coordinator at The Bayou Church in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Her artwork serves as a vital part of her writing and speaking ministry by encouraging believers to adorn the walls of their home with scripture (Deuteronomy 6:6-9) and to utilize their own creative gifts to bring glory to God. In 2014, she founded a ministry for moms called, MOMentum, at The Bayou Church that brings multi-denominational moms together each semester to study the Word of God. With everything in 2020 moving to a virtual model, she created a group called Her Children Arise—A Community for Moms on Facebook for mothers to grow in Christ, build a legacy of faith for the next generation, and find joy in the mundane. There, she shares encouraging messages, tips on faith training, Family Faith Activities, triumphs and trials of mom life, her favorite books and resources for moms and kids, and more.

In both motherhood and servanthood, Casey strives for authenticity and intentionality. Casey has been married to her beau, Bo, for over 14 years and has three hilarious and fun-loving, school-aged kids: James, John Leyson, and Lena. Together, Bo and Casey frequently lead mission trips to Haiti to visit their sister church and three sponsor kids and have a heart for the people and culture there. When she isn’t writing or painting, Casey enjoys singing, playing her guitar, snuggling with her family, doodling, reading a good book, and playing board games. The Hilty family is immersed in Cajun culture and lives on a tee-tiny farm in South Louisiana affectionately called #LenasBigFarm.
